Colossus 5

Hold the light beam sword up and follow it east to a canyon. As you descend into the canyon, head towards the ruined bridge. Dismount horse and dive into the water. Submerge (using R1) under the partially exposed, vaulted doorway and swim to the column in order to start the assent.

Cinematic: A big, hairy bird flies around and show off the Shadow of Colossus graphical engine. Even the bird's hair looks amazing despite the fact that birds don’t have hair. Just feathers. Which is what makes mammals awesome and gives me hope that I will be able to kill this bird fast.

Kill Colossus #5:

Jump into the water from that convenient hole that someone installed. Swim towards the bird and find a platform that will be in view of the bird. Hold L1 to focus on the colossus and shoot arrows at it. As most birds do when riled the fly around in circles. Swim over to the bridge looking ruins.

At this point one of the game designers asked "besides the cool ruins how do we give this scene more gravitas?" the other one said "we will use the music from Harry Potter." The first designer smiled and then silently nodded in approval.

When you reach the bridge, climb up on the row of partially submerged stones, the middle one is the best for these next steps.

While he flies around in circles, shoot arrows at the colossus. When hit, he will dive bomb you. The moment he gets real close, jump and press R1 to grab onto his wing.

Tip: Don't let go of r1 until you are onto his main body.

Stab each of the three glowing tattoos that look like some wiccan prayer icon.

The spots are located as follows:

* Left wing
* Tail
* Right wing

Stab each one until it disappears then progress to the next one.

The bird dies in a crumpled mass. I forgot to mention that the bird was endangered and had a nest with four eggs in it which will also die now from neglect. Please enjoy the rest of Shadow of the Colossus.
